CCTV Drainage Surveys

Full Drainage Surveys with Comprehensive Reports

Dando Utilities Ltd can prepare CCTV drainage inspection reports of the inside of a drainage system, to establish the condition of the pipework and locate any defects, blockages or collapsed sections.

It is important to monitor the internal condition of a drainage system as defects can lead to structural problems for existing buildings on a site, or undermine ground integrity later into a development.  CCTV drainage surveys can also be used to establish the operational efficiency of a drainage system and to identify problems which may lead to future blockage, leakage or surface flooding.

Dando Utilities Ltd use the latest drainage CCTV equipment, allowing our engineers to investigate faulty pipes, drains and sewers remotely by sending a camera right into the heart of the network.

Comprehensive drainage surveys enable our surveyors to deliver the most concise reports on the condition of drains, sewers and pipelines. Problems can be quickly identified by examining crystal clear, close-up imagery during the CCTV survey allowing our engineers to ascertain the simplest, quickest and most cost-effective way to remedy any problems.

Dando Utilities has experience of providing CCTV drainage surveys for many applications including:

  • Mortgage Lending.  Many Mortgage lenders in the UK require a drain survey to be undertaken before a prospective property purchase and home buyers can use them to gain peace of mind prior to a purchase.
  • Insurance Claims.  Insurance companies often need a CCTV drain survey as evidence before approving any claim. Using WinCan, the industry recognised standard reporting system, our surveys are accepted by all major UK insurance companies for this purpose.

In addition, Dando Utilities Ltd regularly provides CCTV drainage reports to councils, developers, architects, water authorities and some of the UK’s largest construction companies.

CCTV drain surveys are a low-cost and effective method of safeguarding a home, building or site against problems caused by damage to its drainage system. The process is completely non-invasive and won’t cause any disruption or damage to the surrounding environment.

After completion of a drainage survey, a full WinCan report is provided.  This report includes live footage of the pipe runs, recorded on relevant media, showing the entire survey if necessary.  In addition, still images of any isolated problems or areas of interest will be provided, along with technical recommendations for remedial action should it be required.
